Your Chief AI Officer · The method

Actionable, sourced, apolitical.

Less administrative work. Better patient care. A better working life for the people who deliver it. A brief about AI in medicine has to be more careful than the industry it covers. These are the rules every item is held to before it publishes.

01

Actionable today, or dated within thirty days

Every item either names the move a leader can make this week or carries the date something arrives. Interesting is not enough; it has to change what someone does.

02

Named sources, every time

Every item lists the sources it rests on and how many there are. We do not publish an item we cannot trace to a named outlet, agency, journal, company or podcast.

03

Fact, then claim, then evidence

What happened comes first. What the company, agency or guest says it means comes second and is labelled as a claim. What the evidence shows comes third, with a source or a plain statement that none exists yet.

04

Read through the lens of the leader it affects

Each item carries a short line for the roles it touches: what a CFO, a CNO or a compliance officer would do with it. AI is no longer a CIO's subject alone.

05

Patients and employees both

Each item says who it helps: patients, the people who care for them, or both. Less administrative work and better care are the same project.

06

Labelled by kind

Reported, announced, study, regulatory, opinion or heard. A press release is never presented as news and a podcast is never presented as evidence.

07

Constructive, outcome-based, at C-level altitude

Every item says what can be done and what it returns for patients and employees. We skip the basic and the merely interesting. A threat is reported with the defense; a failure with the lesson.

08

Vetted twice before a person reads it

A second Lumen pass scores every drafted item against its sources on six criteria (sourced, actionable or dated, C-level altitude, constructive, apolitical, labelled honestly). Items under the threshold are set aside with the reason shown to the editor.

09

Apolitical, always

No elections, parties, candidates or culture-war topics, and no opinion on whether a rule is right. Regulation is reported as what it requires and when. Podcast segments on politics are left out entirely.

010

Relationships disclosed

When an item involves a Forum Partner, a platform Ecofy orchestrates for clients, or a client, the item says so.

011

No clinical claims

We describe research as research and outcomes as the study reported them. Nothing here is medical advice.

012

Drafted by Lumen, approved by a person

Lumen reads the sources and drafts the brief overnight. A person reads every item against its sources before it publishes. Nothing publishes on its own.

013

Corrections, dated

Corrections are appended to the item and dated. The original wording stays visible.

Labels

Every item says what kind of thing it is.

Reported
Independent journalism from a named outlet.
Announced
A company, health system or agency announcement, read against the evidence.
Study
Peer-reviewed research or a preprint, described as research.
Regulatory
An agency action, rule, guidance or enforcement.
Opinion
An argument by a named author, labelled as one.
Heard
Said on a named podcast. What was said, who said it, and what it would mean here; never presented as fact.

Not covered

What we leave out.

  • Politics of any kind: elections, parties, candidates, culture-war topics, opinions on policy.
  • Consumer wellness fads and products without evidence.
  • Vendor funding rounds that do not touch a provider, payer, wellness or senior-living operator.
  • Clinical results we cannot tie to a named study or agency.
  • Anything a leader cannot act on and that is not dated within thirty days.

How Lumen and a person share the work

Every two hours an ingester reads the sources listed on the sources page. Before dawn, Lumen, the AI operator Ecofy runs its own business on, reads the last day's candidates, including the show notes of the podcasts we follow, and drafts six to ten items in three sections with their sources, their kind, the one move to make and a line for each role. A person then reads every item against its sources, edits, removes what does not hold, and publishes. The brief goes to subscribers only after that approval. The same discipline applies to The Round, which draws its signal from these briefs.

Corrections go to aubree@ecofy.com and are appended to the item, dated.
