Why Lake Nona

The room matters as much as the agenda.

square feet across three floors, opened 2016

250

seats in the Theatre-in-the-Round, with eight screens

1,500+

events hosted and 400+ coworkers since 2016

650

acre health cluster, ten minutes from Orlando International Airport

The GuideWell Innovation Center opened in 2016 at 6555 Sanger Road, in the heart of Lake Nona Medical City. GuideWell is the parent of Florida Blue, and the building was designed as a place where health leaders meet: 92,000 square feet over three floors, a 250-seat Theatre-in-the-Round with eight screens, a café, an exhibit gallery and a living lab. It has hosted more than 1,500 events and 400 coworkers since it opened.

Lake Nona Medical City is a 650-acre health cluster inside a 17-square-mile master-planned community, ten minutes from Orlando International Airport, with more than three billion dollars built. Its anchors include the UCF College of Medicine, UCF Lake Nona Hospital, the Orlando VA Medical Center, Nemours Children's Hospital, the UF Health Research and Academic Center, the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute, KPMG Lakehouse, the USTA National Campus and AdventHealth Lake Nona, opening in 2026.

The campus is also home to the invitation-only Lake Nona Impact Forum, held since 2012 and modeled on Aspen Ideas. The press has compared it to Davos and Aspen, and its stage has hosted Bill Clinton, Sanjay Gupta, Serena Williams, Walter Isaacson and Richard Carmona. The Executive Forum is a monthly, working-sized version of that idea for the people who run health organizations in Central Florida.

A sample edition

Three days, hour by hour.

The inaugural edition, as we intend to run it. Day one is the Theatre, day two is the Clinics, day three belongs to founders. Times are Eastern and every block is built so a visitor can walk in late and know what the room is doing.

Day one

The Theatre

Two hundred health executives, selected speakers, platform engineers and sponsors

Operators on stage, executives at tables, vendors in labs. The day ends with every table holding three moves it would make.

8:30

Arrival in the atrium

Coffee, badges with name, role and track only, and a one-page profile of your table of twelve prepared by Lumen from the applications.

Meal
9:00

Opening in the round

Twelve minutes on why this room exists and the six rules, read aloud. Then the first operator keynote: twenty minutes on what they did, what it cost and what it moved.

Theatre
9:50

Second keynote

A second operator, a different track. Twenty minutes, ten of questions from the floor, no vendor on stage all day.

Theatre
10:40

Think-tank tables, round one

Twelve per table, one question per track, a table chair and a scribe. Ninety minutes to agree what the table knows, what it would try and what it would need.

Tables
12:15

Hosted lunch, assigned seating

Table sponsors host a table of twelve each and speak last. Seats are set in advance so every executive sits with the platforms they asked about and never with a competitor. The conversation stays on the morning's question.

Meal
1:15

Problem Theatre

Six executives present one real problem each in five minutes. Platform engineers and sponsors answer in ninety-second cards: what they could stand up by the next edition. Executives pick who they want in a day-two clinic.

Theatre
2:15

Partner labs

Sponsor-run working sessions, fifteen seats each, hands on a real workflow, no slides. Executives choose one lab; the lab works the problem the table surfaced in the morning.

Lab
4:00

Think-tank tables, round two

Tables reconvene to converge on three moves and name who at the table will take each one into day two.

Tables
5:00

Close in the round

Each table chair reports one line. Fifteen minutes, then the room empties into the evening.

Theatre
6:30

Relationship dinners, assigned seating

Ten to twelve at a single table across Lake Nona, one question sent in advance, a speaker or sponsor as host, Chatham House Rule. Seating is set the week before, from the requests both sides made.

Meal
Breaks

Impromptu meetings

Four refreshment breaks in the exhibit gallery, where every platform holds a numbered table and executives drop in. Unscheduled on purpose; the scheduled meetings happen on day two.

Clinic
All day

The Studio records

Speakers record full episodes at goLocal Studios in twenty-minute slots between sessions, released over the month that follows.

Studio

Day two

The Clinics

Executives who opted in to engagements, platform engineers, sponsors and the Ecofy team

A smaller room built for decisions. Short meetings the executive asked for, a live readiness assessment, and build rooms that end in a scoped ninety-day pilot.

9:00

Briefing in the round

Twenty minutes on how the day works and the three ways to engage: a readiness assessment, a platform clinic, a build room.

Theatre
9:20

Engagement clinics, on a personal schedule

Twenty-minute meetings from a personalized schedule each side receives the week before. Executives name the platforms they want to meet, platforms name the executives, and only mutual requests are booked. No more than six per executive. The executive writes the one-line brief in advance and both sides receive it. Twenty numbered tables in the exhibit gallery.

Clinic
10:30

Readiness assessment, live

Executives take the AI Readiness Assessment with an Ecofy analyst in forty-five minutes and leave with a scored draft and a recommended starting tier.

Clinic
12:00

Office hours lunch, seated by role

Assigned tables by role: CEO, CIO, CMO, COO, practice administration. Peers compare notes on the morning's clinics with no vendors at the table.

Meal
1:00

Build rooms

Three concurrent two-hour sessions. An executive team brings one real workflow and leaves with a scoped ninety-day pilot: the data it needs, the governance it requires and the agent that runs it. Three teams per room.

Lab
1:00

Capital and exits roundtable

For physician owners and operators of groups: how AI maturity shows up in a valuation, run in parallel with the build rooms.

Tables
3:00

Commitments

Every executive writes one ninety-day commitment with a named owner, an observable standard and a dated check, then pairs with an accountability partner from another organization. Lumen schedules the thirty, sixty and ninety-day check-ins before anyone leaves.

Circle
4:00

Close and Studio

Executives who want to be on the record record a short segment on what they committed to. The room closes at five.

Studio

Day three

The Table

Day three is for founders of AI-native health companies. Twenty-five seats, by invitation only. Executives and speakers at the edition may be invited to apply, and the agenda is shared with invited founders alone.

Ask about day three

The rules of the room

Six rules, read aloud on day one.

Chatham House Rule

Participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker, nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.

No logos on badges

Name, role and track. Who you work for comes up in conversation, not on your chest.

Vendors never take the stage

Keynotes belong to operators. Platforms and sponsors work in labs and clinics, where the executive sets the brief.

No slides at the tables

Think-tank tables run on a question, a scribe and twelve people. Decks stay in the bag.

One table, one conversation

Dinners seat ten to twelve at a single table with one question sent in advance. Side conversations wait for the walk home.

Leave with a dated commitment

Every executive writes one ninety-day commitment with a named owner, an observable standard and a dated check, and pairs with an accountability partner from another organization.

The room

Who is in the room

Two hundred seats, released by application so the tables are balanced and the conversation stays candid.

Executives of health organizations

CEOs, COOs, CMOs, CIOs and practice administrators of multi-location practices, specialty groups, hospitals and payers.

The leaders who serve them

Heads of AI, cloud and marketing from the firms these executives already trust, invited to work rather than pitch.

Founders of AI-native health companies

A small number, by invitation, working on problems the room cares about. Day three of each edition is theirs.

Platform engineers and faculty

Engineers from the platforms we orchestrate and faculty from the campus next door, running labs in the working sessions and recording in the Studio.
